Zane Turner

Mr. Zane Turner has been faithfully serving at Lighthouse Baptist Academy since 2017 and currently holds the position of Administrator. With a deep love for Christian education and a strong commitment to academic excellence, Mr. Turner leads with both vision and humility. He holds a degree in Music Education from Hyles-Anderson College and a degree in Computational Mathematics from Liberty University. He is currently pursuing his Master’s in Education, further equipping himself to lead and serve with greater effectiveness.

Throughout his years at LBA, Mr. Turner has worn many hats—from teacher to band director to principal to administrator—but his heart has always remained the same: to inspire students to reach their full potential and to keep Christ at the center of everything. He especially enjoys teaching subjects like Physics and Pre-Calculus, and he is known for celebrating “Pi Day” with great enthusiasm each March.

Outside the classroom and the office, Mr. Turner enjoys leading worship and coordinating the music ministry at Lighthouse Baptist Church. His passion for worship and excellence extends into every area of his leadership, where he strives to foster a school culture that is joyful, purposeful, and gospel-centered.

Mr. Turner is blessed with a wonderful wife and two children who bring joy to his life and keep him grounded in the values he seeks to pass on to his students. As a family, they enjoy going on walks together—often ending the evening with ice cream—and spending time around a campfire in the fall. He’s also an avid backyard BBQ enthusiast, currently working on mastering the art of brisket.

His life verse, Ephesians 4:1—“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called”—continues to shape his calling in Christian education.

This year, Mr. Turner’s personal goal is “to ensure every aspect of our school is mission-aligned.” Whether it’s supporting teachers, developing programs, or working with families, he desires to see each part of LBA unified around the shared vision of training the next generation to love God, pursue truth, and serve others.
